The comments of Cleveland Browns GM Sashi Brown on Wednesday vanishes offseason NFL trade rumors. McCarron.

Both quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and A.J. McCarron are the current top backups and both are not expected to start for their respective organization in 2017 NFL regular-season unless a starter suffered an injury. McCarron has one more season remaining on his rookie contract deal.

The Cleveland Brown wouldn’t on an interview if they have already decided on whom to acquire with the top pick for next week’s draft process, but many analysts assume that the team will be landing the defensive end Myles Garrett of Texas A&M. Another draft prospect possibility is the quarterback Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina. GM Brown noted that the franchise was “impressed” by Trubisky, who has climbed a huge number of mock draft boards.

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a 1-15 season. The organization currently has quarterback Brock Osweiler on their 53-man roster after a trading with the Houston Texans, along with 23-year-old Cody Kessler and 24-year-old Kevin Hogan.

There is a chance that Osweiler could either be released or traded. GM Brown also suggested that Cleveland won’t trade down after dealing the No. 2 overall pick in 2016 NFL Draft.
